Just that one night seemed to open up many revelations
Its funny how a simple sentence can explain a books worth of feeling
Heaven is a place we strive to dream of, and reach
In a single moment in time, In your eyes I saw serenity
The air outside, The atmosphere inside, The candles flickering in your eyes.

Life is always hard when its dark outside
Yet the best of times make it all worth while
Everyone can't be perfect all the time, but we can try
Try to make a better place, in the world and in our hearts
Trading stories and tears
Sharing life and memories
Nothing can take that away from us, Nothing can push it aside
It's ours to bear, It's ours to share
Memories flicker from wisps of time passing through the air

It may be a lifetime to repay you, for your breath of life
